XIAOMI Redmi Note 5's features will leak, see what the phone will be
A new Redmi Note from Xiaomi is in the making. Rumours of the Redmi Note 5 in the works are all over the internet. It is now nearly confirmed that Xiaomi is working on a Redmi Note 4 successor aka Redmi Note 5 that may launch on November 11 in China. The phone was even spotted on the Chinese certification site TENAA recently giving us a sneak peek into some of the major highlights of the phone and now new concept imagesof the phone have surfaced online.
There are 8 images all together and it is the first time that you see a Redmi Note 5 image with its display turned on. The phone is seen sporting very thin bezels on sides and appears to be longer than the Redmi Note 4. In terms of design language, the Redmi Note 5 looks pretty much similar to the Redmi Note 4 from the back while the front of the phone sports a major refresh like no capacitive keys and the nearly bezel-less display.
Along with the speculated 6-inch bezel-less display with 18: 9 aspect ratio, the image also shows off a headphone connected to the alleged Redmi Note 5 sans any dongle. This means that the phone will come with a 3.5mm audio jack placed on the upper right corner.
The corners of the display look rounded and the phone will be built of metal. The rear camera will be placed above the flash light while the fingerprint sensor will be placed below it. The antenna bands, like most of the other phones run on the top and bottom of the rear panel. There were past rumours that Xiaomi could bring dual cameras in the Redmi Note 5 but the new concept images affirm of a single camera at the back. There are talks that the Redmi Note 5 would come with a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The Redmi Note 4 comes with a 13MP camera on back.
If the revelations from the TENAA listing are to be believed, the Redmi Note 5 will come with a 6-inch 18:9 full HD IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels of resolution. Both the concept images as well as the TENAA listing confirm that the phone will come with an edge-to-edge display and sport a metal body design. If Xiaomi launches the Redmi Note 5 on the lines of past Redmi Notes then it would be the first bezel-less phone to come under the affordable segment.
The Redmi Note 5 is expected to be backed by a smaller battery compared to its predecessor. Rumours have it that the phone could be juiced up by a 4000mAh battery, less than the 4100mAh battery seen in Redmi Note 4.
Just like the Redmi Note 4, there are 3 variants expected of the Redmi Note 5- 3GB RAM+32GB model, 4GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The expected stating price of the phone is around Rs 11,338.
